Wichita Falls Ghosts both Playful and Active

 
The ASUP recently was dispatched by the TAPS Family Network to assist a family in Wichita Falls.  The subject had reported everything from her daughter speaking to playmates that the mother could not see, to her husband being hit in the head in the kitchen.  She had also seen an image through a mirror, which was also seen by her young daughter. We are posting this investigation to the site because it certainly proves that first impressions are not always the correct ones.

Upon entering the home, we had EMF readings that were normal for the appliances we were checking. The kitchen faucet would drip one drop, but slowly. This had reportedly turned itself on before. 

As investigators got to the end table next to the TV, the EMF was up to 1.9, but 0.6 against the wall. It was more in the middle of nothing that it registered higher readings. It was not however the TV. But on the table the TV is on, right on the corner, the readings were very high, 4.3. There is a satellite receiver which was a 45 on the top shelf.

We went into the spare room with the full set of stairs built to the closed ceiling attic door. Fully carpeted, it looked like the attic either had been a room or there were plans to make it that.  To get to the Master bedroom, you had to go through this room, and the bathroom was also off this room, and connected by a door which was chain locked on the bathroom side and on the other side of the door was a chest pushed up against it, piled with toys, obviously put there to keep the door from opening.
The team checked the light switch/outlet on the wall by the bedroom door. It had 2. & 3. readings up & down from the switch. Nowhere else on the wall was it more than 00.1. We checked the wall on the living room side, and it registered the same 2. and 3. We checked the light switch outlet in the dining room, and it was only 0.0 or 0.1 up & down the wall on both sides, in the dining room and in the kitchen.

At the window, behind a GameBoy and boom box, one Sperry meter read up to 25. It was not the GameBoy or the boombox, which were .1s. The left side of the window was 00.1. The team got no other anomalous spikes anywhere else inside but checking the electric meter itself outside the meter read over 90.

About 7:00 the entire team went inside for the MiniBox session. Everything was set up and both boxes were ready. One team member said he could feel something in his chest when both boxes were first on at the same time. We started about 7:15. Everyone noticed immediately that there was NO static whatsoever between stations, which everyone mentioned was VERY strange.

The lead investigator for this case started asking scripted questions; there were no response from either box. Based on the history received from the subject the team changed the nature of the questions.

Are you Christy's children?

Both boxes at the same time had an extra long pause during scanning and the candle on the end table started to flicker more.

One team member was sitting on the nearby couch holding the K-II. She asked "Do you just want the family to know you're here?"

The K-II said yes, by flickering all lights on the device more than once.  She asked the same question again and got a yes again on the K-II. The rest of the answers came from the children on the K-II it was learned as the session progressed.

In this particular case there were only a few words from the Boxes that did seem to fit the questions, but almost all of the answers came from the K-IIs.

Yes

The subject had a total of 7 pregnancies: 4 miscarriages, 2 were born and named but then died, and her now 3 year old daughter who now lives in the house. The subject had an abusive first husband, the father of the all 6 departed children. The session concluded that they blame their father for their deaths, not their mother. They communicated that they are not stuck here; they can come and go as they please, but they choose to stay close to their mother and half sister. The subject later said that sometimes she feels claustrophobic even though there is no one else there. She sometimes feels them touch her. They sometime play pranks on her.

There are also an old man who died in his 90s and his wife. They lived across the street in a house before it became a nursing home. The couple died at different times. The couple has their own child, who is living, but they like to come to this place because it's a welcoming environment and the subject is so nice, they like to be with her and the children.  The children also like to play pranks on the subject and her husband. He reported earlier that he was in the kitchen and something flew across off the refrigerator and hit him. The children said they did that.

The Mini-Box [one was left on but turned down a little while earlier since nothing was coming through them] was quiet even longer than the first 2 times. It had been turned down. 'Did you children turn the Box down?' K-II said 'Yes'.

It was very emotional for the subject, as well as team members. Once ended, the lead investigator verbally gave the shadow couple two options: to play nice or leave. They said they would behave. After the team put down the K-IIs, the Sperry EMF meter continued to spike. Sometimes up to 3.0. We could only assume that the children weren't finished talking. They were happy to be able to communicate with their mother and let her know they love her, don't blame her, and are there with her, they revealed. The subject said she felt more at peace now. She knows they are there because they choose to be and they want to comfort her and protect her and their sister.

A follow up to this investigation found that both the subject and the husband were not at ease in the house and know they are sharing the space with others. The three year old said that her sisters and brothers were happy also and that while the old couple still visited, they were always nice.

There is a lesson to be learned here; the original reports and subject assessment suggested that the house was haunted by one or more adults, who were negative in their nature and a possible threat, thus the barricaded rooms, etc.  In the initial report, only the little girl had any idea of the nature of her playmates. The couple had a small photo of the graves of the two children who had died previously.  The little girl, who could not see or reach the place where the photo was kept, told her father there was a photo of her playmates there, but the statement was disregarded initially by the parents.  Only after the investigation was opened up to using the Mini-Box and K-IIs did the importance of that become important.

Are there other possible explanations;?  Possibly, but the subjects are now totally at ease in the house and months later, nothing negative has happened there.
