In a neat little community west of Ft. Worth Texas, there is a normal looking street laced with equally normal looking row homes. In one of these homes, which is just 5 years old, lives a couple who reportedly are plagued by spirits that the wife maintained were negative.

This case was a TAPS referral to the ASUP. The couples has raised a house full of children and are members of the Church of Latter Day Saints (Mormon), but no longer attend services regularly due in part to her husband’s ailments. The husband had three children from a previous marriage; the wife also had three, plus her youngest son, by a second marriage.  None of these children live at home; all are adults. The original research team ascertained that the wife is probably a sensitive. She has seen a dark hooded figure in the house, as have several of her grandchildren; they also reported a middle aged, balding man with glasses staring at them on more than one occasion. There has been poltergeist type activity as well, including bedding being upset after the wife had just straightened it and no one else was in the house. Lights have flashed on and off at will. Both have seen apparitions in the house from time to time, but the wife becomes most upset when she is alone in the house, or with one of the younger grandchildren.  The family dog reacts negatively to an unseen visitor and one infant grandson has laughed strongly while watching something unseen in the room, while the dog took a defensive posture. The wife became most upset when a picture of Jesus Christ was found upside down in the living room.

On arrival the technical team set up equipment in the house, while coordinator Rick Moran interviewed the couple once again.  They told him about one presence that came from a solid wall, who told them that she was Sara Tomlinson, the husband’s great-great grandmother, she said she was looking for her son, Jonathan. They described a full apparition, 3-D, that was able to communicate before disappearing.  They noted that the new house is filled with the husband’s family treasures, a grandfather clock, several pieces of furniture, etc. from a long line of Texas natives. The wife was convinced that whatever was in the house was not good, although the only physical interaction was one reported case of the husband being scratched while asleep in bed, waking to find several deep scratches on his back. They have called the police to the house once after a visitation from the bald man with glasses and obviously no one was found on the premises.

After sweeps by the teams present, several reported the feeling of being followed through the house. There were some hot spots for EMF in the house as well and during a K-2 session there as a revelation that the couple had not told the ASUP coordinator.

During this session, it was learned that two of the wife’s sons were killed in the same car accident 20 years ago. Using the K-2 for yes and no responses, we first asked the parents for some details and they said that were told that the boys were killed and supposedly at the crash scene alone with one female friend, who also died. The K-2 session suggested otherwise, claiming that the girl was actually driving the car and that another vehicle was also involved in the crash, which was not the official police report version.  According to the two dead boys, who were reportedly answering our questions, the second car was “on a beer run,” driving without headlights and the young woman driving the boy’s car did not see them until the last minute, swerving to miss them and driving into a lake where all three were drown. The spirits of both sons appeared to be present, not to set the record straight, but to reassure the couple that they were doing well and had crossed.  They confirmed another resident entity on the premises, that they did not seem to like, but promised to shield the family from that spirit.   They also confirmed that they had visited their sister when she was in crisis with cancer to reassure her, but were unable to communicate with her. This was later confirmed.

After several hours at the home, the team left and the couple was reassured and told that if there were any other unexplained activities, the ASUP would return.

Secondary information was later found in the analysis of the visitation, which are now being held by the ASUP and will not be released to anyone, unless there are further occurrences in the house or with the client family.

This case was tentatively closed on August 25, 2008.
