Would like to invite the public to their third annual

"What do real ghost hunters do?"

A special Halloween Event at the Old Alton Bridge, in Denton County

Sunday, October 26, 2008, beginning at 2 p.m. until dusk.

This is an open invitation to the public, as well as any other groups to come

and meet the officers and members of the

Association for the Study of Unexplained Phenomenon,

a 35 year old research and education, non-profit corporation who

investigates all types of paranormal activity, including ghosts, cryptids, and all other

"Things that go bump in the night."

ASUP members will be on hand to answer the public's questions about real paranormal cases and procedures and will have investigation equipment commonly used in cases for the public to see. They will also explain the real haunting phenomenon associated with the meeting site and provide an escorted tour of the location.

This is a completely free event!

Children are welcome so bring the family!

So come on out and see what the real ghost hunters do, what equipment they use and visit a truly haunted historic bridge!

Directions to Old Alton Bridge: From Interstate 35e (either north or southbound) take the Swisher Road exit WEST. You will follow Swisher Road for several miles, through Hickory Creek and Corinth. You will see a large radio tower on the left side of the road, after passing a mobile home community and traveling up a slight hill, past a storage facility. Once you see the tower a road appropriately named OLD ALTON will be on your left, turn onto the road (If you come upon the High School on the right, you proceeded too far on Swisher Rd.) About a quarter mile off Swisher Road you will make a sharp turn to the right, passing some flood gates. Very soon after that turn, look to the left, you will see a turn out just before crossing a new bridge. The OLD ALTON BRIDGE is on your left, turn into the parking lot on the left hand side next to the new roadway and walk about a hundred feet to a set of concrete memorial benches just to the left of the path that leads to the old bridge site. Members of the ASUP will be on hand to greet you from 2 p.m. to dusk.
